Jordan Gheen (US)
Jordan Gheen is a multi-instrumentalist/ composer/ producer/ audio-engineer/ videographer/ educator currently living in Denton, Texas. He spent his early years studying jazz at both Booker T Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and the University of North Texas. He has now been working as a professional musician for 15 years on piano, synth, bass, guitar, and trumpet. The quest for developing his unique voice has led him to explore, assimilate, and perform various contemporary music such as modern jazz, progressive rock, and electronica. This journey has also created an obsession for sound design that has helped to characterize his multi-dimensional approach to music. In addition to his gigs as a working musician, Jordan also adventures into original music with many different creative projects. He leads (and writes music for) a jazz-fusion group called Sky Window, collaborates with Hong Kong guitarist Alan Kwan in an experimental project Invisible Architecture, plays with a groove-focused quintet called The Night Above Us, a 19-piece progressive jazz orchestra called Energy Collective, and a math-rock band called Terra Collective.
